My dog is a 15 year old Beagle. I've had him since he was 5 weeks old. He is, as I call him, the king of the castle. He sleeps in bed with me, under the covers.
Due to his age, he cannot jump on the bed any longer, so he stands by the bed and I lift him.
This happens several times a day.
During our down time, he doesn't lay on the floor like most dogs. He lays on the couch, generally on top of a blanket, which is on top of a pillow.
I do believe that he has had more people food in his life than not. All he has to do is look at me with his big brown eyes and bark once. This generally results in sharing my dinner. For example, one french fry for me and one for him.
He has never been boarded for a day. When I do go out of town, he stays with Grandma and Grandpa, or another relative comes to stay with him. In my eyes, he is my child and should be treated as such.
Of course there is always the truth, that he has
me trained!
